Droplet Separator

Every so often we carry out work and it’s what I would refer to as ‘weird and wonderful’ – and this is one of those jobs! This item is a GRP droplet separator which required repairing/refurbishing, this basically involved grinding/sanding the existing surfaces to provide a key, and then applying new laminates.

This item gave me a stark reminder that I need to check the dimensions and weights of items/products before I happily agree to ‘take them on’!

The photos don’t do it justice, this item is enormous i.e. it’s like a detached house, and it weighs 3.5 tons. Not only would it not fit in our factory, but we struggled to lift it off the wagon. However, thanks to a neighbouring company with regarding to craneage and working area, the job was completed to the delight of the client!
